July 15 2009 - Andrew Niccol's River Road script sounds like "The Cross"
The film's focus is on borders and how we deal with them. Andrew has a script called River Road that has circulated over the net since 2000, and may be the reason he is very protective about his information and does not like to use email (according to his spike interview on Lord of War).

According to Mayflower's article below link, River Road follows the story of a man who lives in a city bisected by a river, one side is district 33 and the other is 34. Life on each side is very different, and in 33, life is hard. You are assigned your work everyday, and live mergerley. Any attempt to cross over to the other side you are shot dead.

Long time ago, but he does a great job in detailing the script with some possible spoilers (these make you want to see it more) and gives more insight into Andrew Niccol. The film will use the future as its setting, it is about a man, (Bloom), who is an astronaut in the near future who decides to cross a barrier in space that no-one has crossed before. Vincent Cassal plays a guard who tries to stop that plan at any cost. The film is currently budgeted at $24 million.
