The City That Sailed News

July 10, 2009 - Andrew Niccol's script "The City That Sailed" replaces "I am legend Prequel"
Will Smith and director Francis Lawrence are currently working on a new film based on Andrew's script "The City that Sailed", which although great to hear more of his work is being made, it will be rewritten by Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Ocean's Thirteen). Andrew's writing is bar none and to rewrite it, I think is a bad idea for the production, as I am sure the film would be 100 times better if they did not rewrite it, but thankfully I think its because he is too busy on "The Cross" that they had to bring in people to work on the project. Still looking forward to this movie and more news about the project.

The City That Sailed Story, is about the daughter of Will's character, who lives in England, and finds a magical candle and wishes her Dad could be there with her, and the city of New York breaks away and travels accross the ocean.
